LEO Impact Capital’s workforce housing investment management platform partnered with Lotus Campaign to acquire Sharon Crossing, a 144-unit, garden-style community in Charlotte. Through this partnership, 20% of the units will be reserved for Lotus clients through our Landlord Participation Program.
“Sharon Crossing represents an important model for combatting homelessness—one that provides stable housing combined with supportive services,” said Lotus Campaign Co-Founder and Executive Director Beth Silverman. “Our Acquisitions Program addresses a serious shortage of high-quality, safe and affordable workforce housing by investing in existing properties. Lotus employs the same private investment strategies often used in for-profit real estate development to both create workforce housing and address homelessness, leveraging capital as a tool for social impact.”
The deal was covered by multiple industry publications, including CityBiz, Multi-Housing News, Charlotte Business Journal, and Rebusiness Online.
